We took part in a World History Day at school before half term and our decade was... the 90s!
We learned about some key events that took place over the 1990s and also some very important people such as Lady Diana and Nelson Mandela. We loved dressing up in 90s fashion and listening to the music (especially Mrs Milbourne who grew up in the 90s!).
Today we went to Tudor World in Stratford Upon Avon on a Year 4 trip. We had the best day learning some new things about the Tudors. We were also able to show how much we have already learned from the work we have done in class.
After lunch, we were shown around Stratford by William Shakespeare himself! Did you know he is 465 years old this year!? He showed us where his family had lived in the town - the original houses are still there - and told us all about his life as a famous play writer. We really enjoyed our day!
We celebrated World Book Day today! Can you tell which characters we are dressed up as?
We invited our parents in in the morning to read with us and did lots of fun activities based around reading all day! At 2pm we took part in a live lesson on the BBC which was really exciting as they were talking to some famous authors.
Today was Shrove Tuesday so we celebrated by making our own pancakes!!!
We weighed out the ingredients and mixed them altogether in a bowl to make a batter, then Mrs Milbourne cooked them for us and we added our own toppings! They were delicious! What do you like on yours?
This is our new English book for Spring term - Leon and the Place Between.
We are really enjoying reading it as it's all about magic. The font and pictures are really exciting too.
Investigating circuits in Science for our topic on electricity.
We were trying to make a switch so we could turn the lightbulb on and off!
We went out to Forest School to explore some hidden artefacts! Look what we found...
Can you guess what our new topic is?
