Autumn One🍂
The first topic we learnt about in nursery was 'All about me'. The children enjoyed singing the song 'Simon says point to your...' to help us name the features on our faces. The children have painted self portraits selecting the correct colours and also used loose parts to make a face.
As we continued our topic 'All about me' during group times we talked about our friends and families. The children had lots of fun drawing around one of their friends and creating a life sized collage of them. We have talked about our families and the children have made a house shaped frame using lollipop sticks for the pictures of their families.
To finish off our 'All about me' topic the children have learnt about keeping healthy. The children made a healthy snack, learned about keeping clean by washing their hands and washing our dolls. They also learnt about oral hygiene and the importance of brushing their teeth.
