Spring One🍃
The butterfly group enjoyed exploring the different areas during their first weeks at Nursery. They had fun in the creative, construction, music and small world areas. The children have also learnt the routines of nursery like sitting down and having snack. They created their very own butterfly’s decorating them with paint on their fingers too.
Our first topic we have been learning about is Winter we made winter collages using foil and tissue paper. We have also been learning about Chinese New Year, we learnt about the traditions of Chinese New Year and then we developed our cutting skills using scissors and cutting noodles. We took part in RSPB Big Birdwatch where we made nests for the birds and hung our bird feeders on the trees.
To carry on our winter topic we looked at different types of patterns and then matched the different patterned mittens to each other, we then used pens to make our own matching mittens. We also played a fishing game and used a potato masher and white paint to make a penguin picture.
